Your traditional staff development activities need to provide the training and
opportunities to develop the behaviours of organizational champions. Who are
organizational champions? Thompson (2009) describes them as “…enlightened
change makers who are personally committed to mutual values, rather than self-centered ones, and relentlessly driven by possibilities” (p.6). Champions are
the individuals within the organization who will influence how the organization
functions and ensure the things that you want to change transform into
sustainable activities.
