4.2.1 Power Structures

ImageA large component of making the change to interprofessional teams is building successful interpersonal relations between team members. A critical piece of successful team relationships is a balance of power and a flat team structure as opposed to a hierarchical structure. The creation of empowering interprofessional relationships as a part of your interprofessional change strategy will lay the foundation for effective collaboration, information sharing and, ultimately, the provision of high quality patient care.
